Using public transportation:

From the airport to Plaça Catalunya: From El Prat-Barcelona airport (BCN), take the “Aerobus” at the exit of any of the two airport terminals (a sky-blue-colored bus that runs every 5-10min and costs 5.90€). Then get off at the end of the trip, in Plaça Catalunya (a major square in Barcelona). Check our Google map for landmarks and hotels in this area. If you walk around the square, you will find the FGC train station.

From Plaça Catalunya to our lab: Plaça Catalunya is a major square and transportation hub in downtown Barcelona. There you can take the FGC trains (ferrocarrils de Catalunya), specifically the lines S2 or S6, from “Plaça Catalunya” Station to “Universitat Autònoma” Station (see center-left of the map). This is a 40min ride that requires a 1-zone ticket (keep your ticket in order to get out of the station). Exit the station going downstairs, without crossing the railways, and cross the immediate bridge till you reach a bifurcation: take a short left and you will find yourself in the “Plaça Cívica”, the main square of the UAB campus. Then follow the map to reach our lab: we are the ICN2 building, marked with an “A” in the top-right quadrant. The main entrance is towards the main road (North-East front, in front of the Firemen Station). At the reception they can guide you to the elevator. Go to the 2nd. floor, and upon exiting the elevator, take a left to reach our offices. Remember (+34) 93-737-4621 is our main phone number.

By taxi:

Please note most taxi drivers in Barcelona can give you a receipt if you ask for it, but it is worth checking at the beginning of the trip before getting in. For taxi-on-call, we recommend calling (+34) 93-580-2727. Take the map with you, since it will be useful for the taxi driver. “Universitat Autònoma”, “UAB campus“, “Bomberos (fire station)”, should be good keywords for the driver.

En transporte púbico:

Del aeropuerto a Plaça Catalunya : desde el aeropuerto El Prat-Barcelona (BCN), lo más conveniente es utilizar el “Aerobus” que se encuentra al salir de la terminal del aeropuerto (un omnibus de color celeste con una frecuencia de 5-10 minutos, que cuesta 5.90 €). Directamente bajarse al final del recorrido, en Plaça Catalunya (una plaza central de Barcelona). En nuestro Google map encontrará puntos de referencia y hoteles en el área. Si camina alrededor de la plaza, encontrará la estación de ferrocarriles FGC.

De la Estación de trenes Barcelona Sants a Plaça Catalunya: directamente se puede llegar a Plaça Catalunya en unos 10 minutos, viajando en otro tren RENFE pero local (líneas R1, R3, R4) o bien viajando en metro (línea verde L3), yendo hasta la estación “Plaça Catalunya”.

De Plaça Catalunya a nuestro laboratorio: lo más indicado es tomar el ferrocarril (líneas S2 o S6 de los FGC – ferrocarriles de Catalunya) desde la estación “Plaça Catalunya” hasta la estación “Universitat Autònoma”. Son unos 40min de viaje, y se requiere un ticket de 1 zona (conserve el ticket para poder salir de la estación). Una vez al llegar a la estación Universitat, se ha de salir bajando las escaleras (sin cruzar las vías). Inmediatamente hay que cruzar un puente corto, y en la bifuricación tomar ligeramente hacia la izquierda: se encontrará entonces en la Plaça Cívica (la plaza central del campus de la UAB). Una vez allí, guiándose con el mapa, hay que caminar a lo largo de la avenida, hasta pasar los edificios de Económicas y Ciencias, y luego subir hacia la zona de Ingeniería (ETSE, Escola de Enginyeria) y la Estación de bomberos. Estamos en el edificio ICN2, marcado con una A en el cuadrante superior derecho del mapa. La entrada a la recepción es por lado Noreste, que da hacia la avenida superior y a la Estación de bomberos. En la recepción podrán guiarlo al ascensor. Nosotros estamos en la 2da. planta: al salir del ascensor, tomar hacia la izquierda, y nos encontrará al final del pasillo. Recordar que nuestro teléfono de referencia es el (+34) 93-737-4621.

En taxi:

Notar que la mayoría de los taxistas en Barcelona pueden darle un ticket/recibo/comprobante si lo solicita, pero no está demás confirmar antes de abordar el taxi. Si desea llamar un radio taxi, recomendamos llamar al (+34) 93-580-2727. Conviene llevar el mapa impreso ya que le será útil al conductor del taxi. “Universitat Autònoma”, “UAB campus”, “Escola d’Enginyeria”, “Estación de bomberos”, son palabras claves que ayudarán al conductor.
